Introduction

The Monticello Fire Department's Fire Inspection Program is aimed at enhancing public safety through fire prevention.

One of the best methods for preventing fires is to enforce fire code regulations. This program facilitates a proactive approach to enforcement that will help prevent fire and hazardous material emergencies that can endanger lives and damage property.

Self-Inspection Checklists

Self-inspection checklists are intended as a guide for building owners/operators to identify and correct fire and life safety hazards that are violations of the Minnesota State Fire Code (MSFC). They are not all-inclusive lists; instead, they are intended to cover the more common types of issues in specific building types. The checklists are below:
