Elections
The City of Monticello is responsible for administering city, county, state, and federal elections for city residents. This includes voting in primary and general elections as well as absentee voting.
The next city-administered election will be:
- Tuesday, November 8, 2022 - General Election
Precinct locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Absentee Voting
Minnesota allows citizens to vote in advance of Election Day with an absentee ballot. Voters who vote by absentee ballot are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

Candidates are required to file campaign financial reports according to Minnesota Statutes 211A, and these reports must be available on the local government's website for a minimum of 4 years.
