Foreclosure Prevention & Counseling

The Minnesota Home Ownership Center offers home buyer education workshops, provides access to free foreclosure prevention services, and home ownership counseling.

Wright County Community Action

The Wright County Housing Resource List (PDF) offers local, confidential, and free mortgage foreclosure counseling. They also offer home buyer training and home rehabilitation loans for income eligible homeowners with low cost/no cost financing to improve the energy, efficiency, safety, and accessibility of their homes. Community Action also provides an Energy Assistance Program which helps income eligible households meet part of the cost of home heating.

Low Interest Loans & Home Buyer Education

The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency offers home improvement loan programs, including those through the Fix-up Fund and Rehabilitation Loan program.  The agency also offers first-time home-buyer assistance and reverse mortgage and home equity programs.
